No high pressure for the Thanksgiving storm. NAM shows one scenario where if the low doesn't get too close that we can try and stay Frozen. This is a terrible set up and that WTOD will win out but long range looks promising.

Yeah, and no antecedent cold either. Looks like it's one of those deals if its weak enough to track far enough under us there aren't enough dynamics to pull any cold in, and if it's stronger is tracks to close and the marginal cold that is available isn't enough.

That arctic air looks like it's going to be real, no model rug pulls, so Friday - Monday at least should be cold with snow in the air. With an early season cold snap and warm lakes, if we can get a shortwave embedded in the NW flow might be a good way to score a minor event in that setup.

The latest 850's look ok, so with a marginal air mass, a rain/snow mix might be the best we do.
Although, these flat progressive systems sometimes favor our region. Will definitely be a close call.

Nice to finally have a more winter like pattern, instead of early fall.

Really hope we don’t waste the cold coming up, but looks pretty dry.  Hopefully we squeeze out a few small events.

Ensembles don't look bad. Looks like we will have a chance to see some accumulating snow in this period.
