This is not how convection usually behaves here after dark, but the shortwave looks great in the guidance. I would not be surprised if we see a report of a brief touchdown in Southern PA tomorrow morning. Seems to have developed into a more of a squall line at this juncture. 87storms Posted September 22 Share Posted September 22 Impressive marine blanket of clouds over the area right now. We're really good at that when we get an onshore flow. Visited LA (the traffic is real) and SD area on my last visit...the marine layer is pretty standard out there, but you could see the blue tint in the sky as it thinned out by mid-late morning. Even here, there were solid storms just to my south. I knew I wasn't getting much when I saw that radar NW trajectory. For whatever ridge-effects, that never works here.
