Our Linden trees are literally a full month ahead of schedule. Grass is pretty much dead....Even our maples have started dropping leaves, brown and crispy.

At this point, let's roll the dice with precip coming back in the winter....

Same thing around here. Lots of hideous browns and ugly brown / orange. Another sub par foliage season enroute. Things are way way ahead of schedule

Nice ride into Fenway yesterday.  Saw 89 on the car somewhere on 90 nearing Boston.  Then all the grass along 90 just west of Boston had 0 sign of greenness.  BU area.  No trees, so I'm sure it just bakes in the sun.

My long-time employer, Public Lands, is well below average on timber harvest volume this year.  Would really be nice to slide directly from warm-wx harvesting to frozen ground without the usual 4-6 weeks of fall mud season.  Only happened twice since I started my 1st forester job, 1976 (my 1st year) and 2013, so that's a tall ask.

Hope we keep this until November. Anyways, really starting to notice the loss of daylight now. Looked at the clock last night thinking it was like 9:00 and it was only 7:30 lol. At least though we're remaining mild at night. Was outside with shorts until the end of the SNF game...pretty wild for me.
