September vibes - Last 90s for some, 1st frost for others

Feels like early April out here with this cool and cloudy sky overhead. A few breaks of sun at least would be really nice until this pattern of suck passes by. On an interesting note, I just snapped a quick shot of this little dude. I think it’s some kind of praying mantis but not sure of the exact type. Must be sitting by waiting for one of our many white months to stumble into its path. Always a cool thing to see!

Chilly shot coming in.

As the upper low pivots just north of the international border,
cooling aloft will allow temperatures approach or even drop below
freezing across the High Peaks in northern NY, so should showers
linger long enough, there could be a bit of slushy snow or perhaps
rime by daybreak Sunday.

May be the most snow some of us will see until…next spring!

Think you could do Connecticut national sometime this fall? I know it's kind of a hike for you.

Actually I just did a little googling. The Ranch is pretty much halfway between us. We could do that again. Talked to John earlier in the season and he was still dealing with injury so he probably is out.

Either or works. I don’t mind driving to Putnam.
