I sorta want to see BOS continue its streak of dry.  I think they are top 4 at this point

Let’s get #1 driest period on record. It’s doable

It’s going to be tough, I think Boston is getting at least some showers.

Our Linden trees are literally a full month ahead of schedule. Grass is pretty much dead....Even our maples have started dropping leaves, brown and crispy.

At this point, let's roll the dice with precip coming back in the winter....

Trees are torched where there's a lot of ledge.

Keep that rain away.  Let’s go a full two months of San Diego.

The hiking and mountain biking is the best it’s been all year, no mud, bone dry.  Like Colorado.

Maybe I can get all the oaks out of the swamp. Perfect for it today.

Same thing around here. Lots of hideous browns and ugly brown / orange. Another sub par foliage season enroute. Things are way way ahead of schedule

I thought low water concentrates the sugars and enhances the vibrancy?

First Blizzard run of the GFS coming up? 540 line diving into the great lakes and a cane about to shoot on up

Ahh yes the annual GFS seasonal transition 384hr Blizzardcane which then makes someone post "it happened with Sandy"

I missed it last night, But as far as precip goes this month, 0.04” here, Dry, Looks like lawn mowing is really slowing as I was going weekly and now looks like it may be by-weekly as it’s not needed this week, Burnt as well.

I had 0.04" between 9 and midnight on 8/31, but since my obs "day" is 9P-9P, it's recorded as 9/1.  Nearly doubles our monthly total.  :P

My long-time employer, Public Lands, is well below average on timber harvest volume this year.  Would really be nice to slide directly from warm-wx harvesting to frozen ground without the usual 4-6 weeks of fall mud season.  Only happened twice since I started my 1st forester job, 1976 (my 1st year) and 2013, so that's a tall ask.

Hope we keep this until November. Anyways, really starting to notice the loss of daylight now. Looked at the clock last night thinking it was like 9:00 and it was only 7:30 lol. At least though we're remaining mild at night. Was outside with shorts until the end of the SNF game...pretty wild for me.
