38F for the low.  First 30s.

Get those leaves started.

Thought I'd crack the 30s, too, but bottomed out at 41.  When I'm only 0.5° cooler than Jeff, I know that radiating was much better in south LEW than at my frost pocket.
Surprisingly, it's breezier today than yesterday.

Yeah Tom, Calm nights here we radiate well typically, Been a pretty stiff wind out of the NNE today, The whole weekend was quite breezy, Was going to go to the lake and fish but no dice.

The AUG sensor runs a bit warm.

Plus it's sited at the hilltop AP.  It's almost always the mildest in the region on clear calm mornings.

Sad to miss out on a bluebird day, but it's no fun trying to fish when waves are tossing the boat and maybe splashing over the sides.  Your watercraft is a lot bigger than my 11-ft one-person canoe, but even 20-mph gusts over a long fetch can make things unpleasant.  Even 15, if from a southerly direction, will keep me off North Pond's 3-mile fetch, as the wave tops would be spaced longer than my cockleshell.

Fishing bottom for lakers when the boats encountering white caps is quite a bit challenging to say the least, I'm usually on these bigger lakes so it gets pretty rough with winds either side of north.

With a busted finger and wrist, I can't drive the boat, so we had a retired mechanic friend and a few others take us out on Long Lake yesterday. Nice 2hr putt putt cruise till the end when he said it was time to clear out the cobb webs. There was a decent chop with the north wind, but heading south back towards the marina we got her to 58mph with the camper cover up. The girls, including my wife were all giddy. I hadn't opened her up yet so it was good to see what she'll do. Not bad for a 37' 17,000lb boat. Was told expect 63mph under ideal conditions. Hoping to get hand healed up to drive it at least one more time before we pull mid-oct.

Sweet, You lost a few mph with the camper canvas, How is that wrist/hand doing? Last time we talked you were seeing the specialist, Did you have surgery?

surgery done almost 2 wks ago. 2 pins in finger that eventually come out. One metal plate in wrist which I was hoping wasn't needed. The 2 broken ribs are more annoying then hand.

69/50. Awesome feel out there
