Steady moderate rain for quite a bit.. haven't heard this for quite a while. Sounds abnormal.

Drought guy should be giving some sort of update...sinner.

56° Steady rain

MY update: No drought buster. However it is the heaviest rain since early August for my house in a 24 hour period. Nearly 1.80 inches in  the gauge and still raining. Underground weather precip reports mostly range  from. 1.5 to 2 inches of rain in Lehigh County with more  north near Tamaqua. Its nice to see the Little Lehigh at bankfull for a change. No stream flooding as the ground is taking it all in nicely.

I expect this to be all out of here by midnight.  There will some big wet snow flakes at the very end of the precip with maybe a coating on the cars. I expect this to happen between 10 pm and midnight

Temps are dropping pretty good now high 64 this morning. Now it is 45 and falling

Still fishing for a white Christmas - not goiving up just yet

Yep, backend swinging through as I type. Temps really took a dive, currently 42°.

As far as Christmas, just don't want a blow torch. Cold and an inch or two would do me fine...

It’s just light rain with very little left on radar and I am at 1.54”. As the drought guy indicated, the ground absorbed this like a sponge with mostly light to moderate rain much the time, which is great. Hoping to get topped off early next week. And then hoping for a white Christmas and cold 12/21 for PSU vs SMU college playoff game in State College.

Adam at 6pm...think 2"+ is a given for most of the area. Looking forward to wind sweep rain (25-30mph+) and possible thunder tomorrow. The dense fog this morning was a real treat as well...not seeing what's in front of you while driving is great fun.

I have no idea but I think it's pretty close? Had steady rain here for several hours on end so I think an inch and a half plus maybe two inches? Precip over now, some trained howling winds blowing in... Down to 39° at 9:55 p.m.

This is a classic GFS snow model map with 30 inches at PHL to 50+ inches for the heart of South Jersey - book it!!

If I only get 25" while Vineland gets 50", I'm gonna be one angry weenie :fulltilt:

Picked up 1.40" yesterday. Clear skies, should be good for drone viewing tonight.

I’ve never seen a snow map like that for anywhere near here. I know it’s a dynamic model, but those numbers would destroy the 1899 snowstorm totals where Cape May got 36”. Still a record I believe. Plus I think we got down to -10f behind that storm. Fun image to look at but I’ll just chalk it up to potential.
