my October 13th post

drought guy here- saying that this drought will be broken by Thanksgiving with a heavy rain storm followed by a light snowfall event for the LV area. After an initial few weeks of cold/rainy and maybe even snowy weather into late November, the typical rain to snow precip pattern will return by the second week in December with decent cold snaps and maybe even some polar air reaching us by Christmas. Then the flood gates will be opened for some major snow events the rest of the winter with constant refreshed clippers - similar to the winter of 2003 after a blistering drought in 2002. ...

Well , this has played out very nicely for me

This mornings GFS run is spot on.  Hope it stays like this

Zero percent chance of this happening. The winter of 2002-03 was close to once in a lifetime. Climate has changed a lot between then and now. We haven't had a clipper since January 22-23, 2005 (that was nearly 20 years ago).

Besides, the winter of 2002-03 came at the end of a yearlong drought. The current drought is barely a month old, and in fact, we're closer to where we were heading into the winter of 2001-02.

There's a better chance at a 01-02 redux than a 02-03 redux.

At least here in the philly burbs of Chester County we had quite a few "winters of a lifetime" since 2002-03....all of the yellow highlighted seasons are just since Y2K!! Very cyclical as always!

Here in East Nantmeal the low this morning of 24.4 degrees was our coldest reading since March 22nd when we reached 23 degrees. Today has a forecast to be our coldest high temperature (34 degrees) since the 34.3 degrees back on February 17th. We look to stay cold with below normal temperatures through the 1st 9 or 10 days of December before we should see a nice warming trend by mid-month. There could be a couple snow chances - the first chance on Wednesday night and maybe additional potential toward next weekend.

Wait wasn’t 2013-14 mostly clippers or am I misremembering that.

That lake effect storm is just nuts. Some models are showing it affecting the Bills game tomorrow night. Would love another snow game.

The Eagles have had quite a few in the last 20 years. The NFC Championship win over the Falcons, the 49ers game in 2009, and the LeSean McCoy game against the Lions in 2013.

The Vikings game in 2010 should have never been postponed. But as Ed Randell said, we've become a 'nation of wusses'.

Here in East Nantmeal we finished November as the 6th warmest November in the last 21 years at 47.7 degrees which is 3.2 degrees above normal. I will have the monthly climate summary for all reporting stations across the county later. We should open December with a colder than normal stretch with a couple of minor snow chances toward Thursday morning and again over the weekend.

I'll tell ya, a NFL game with snow gives me a fix for not having snow here. It helps. Only weenies know what I'm talking about...

36° mostly cloudy

Go birds! Probably the most difficult team we played so far this year on their home field.

The NFL should ban dome stadiums.

The Super bowl should be played in New England, Northeast etc.....enough of these dome stadiums in southern climates. I highly recommend throwing snowballs at Santa Claus, battery tossing, playing through possible earthquakes, tornadoes, and hurricanes as well. Southern folks are sinners dammit and ruin the integrity of the game.

Baltimore is number one in rush defense, let's see how Barkley does. Hurts may try to open it up and throw it down field. Definitely will be a coaching battle. Hopefully the Birds can get a early lead then Barkley to melt the clock... Should be a good game.

No No No please don't do this! My company sold the material that made SoFi stadiums roof!

Your company can make materials for every structure on Earth, just not NFL or college stadiums :D
