ChescoWx
In addition to most of Chester County getting some light rain last night and into this AM - there was also some snow mixed in for a time. Here in East Nantmeal we received 0.04" of rain with the most I could find being the 0.11" up at Warwick Park. We start a slow moderating trend that will last through midweek next week before we turn much chillier by late week. Our next chance of rain and maybe even some wet snow will be Wednesday night into Thursday.
Birds~69
Weekend looks to be 60-63F and it appears no "real" rain event through the end of the month. Ironically and sad to say we may be happy with 33F/and substantial rain as we head into winter due to the drought even though we are getting shafted out of snow... 53F/DP 38F/Super sunny

Albedoman
from the drought guy. This a first for me guys please foward this to MT Holly. How dry is it? Enough low humidity to intiate spontaneous combustion. Red flag warnings really should be issued again MT Holly. This came as an alert to me a few minutes ago. Hello Lower Macungie Township Residents, The yard waste recycling center located at 5536 Indian Creek Road will be closed today, Friday November 15th. The mulch pile is currently emitting spontaneous flames and in order to maintain public safety, the site will be closed for the day. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience.

NWS Mount Holly knows how dry it is, and the Fire Weather Watch has been upgraded to a Red Flag Warning for Saturday. As a reminder/FYI, the NWS fire weather products are for rapid fire spread and not for fires starting. 2

Would that enhance the probability of rapid fire spread as well? I know red flag warnings are for high wind but what about other natural weather features like lighting have any effect on issuing a red flag warning. It almost seems that the ignition sources and their amounts must have a play in this somewhere for issuing red flag warnings.

Lightning, at least in our area, does not really start most wildfires especially since we typically don’t deal with dry lightning. The majority of fires around here are caused by humans.

ChescoWx
Dry and windy today with temps well into the 50's to near 60 degrees. A Red Flag Warning is in effect through today so outdoor burning is not recommended. We stay mild through Wednesday and then chill to below normal levels and see shower chances increase Wednesday night through the end of the work week. ChescoWx
We should continue to see temperatures well above normal in the upper 50's to low 60's through midweek before a change to below normal temps to finish out the work week. We have a good chance of some rain from Wednesday night into Thursday...all fingers and toes crossed!

ChescoWx
Today will be our warmest day of the week with temperatures in the mid 60's for highs. We will turn slightly cooler tomorrow before a sharper change to colder by Wednesday night through the rest of the week. Our best chance of significant rain looks to arrive Wednesday night with as much as an inch in some lucky spots! Shower chances will continue through the end of the week, and we may even see some snow mixing in across some spots on Friday. Temperatures on Friday may not escape the 30's in higher locations.
