We're only tornado warned for about 3 min more.

Gave a heads up to my mom who will be closer so I’m hoping it is all elevated rotation. It is very windy tho.

MN Transplant
Briefly considered trying to “chase” that Beltway storm, but it never looked that great. Appreciating the rain train, though.

09-10 analogy
Still a good bit of SRH out there: patch of 300 0-3km right over DC, according to SPC hourly meso. https://www.spc.noaa.gov/exper/mesoanalysis/new/viewsector.php?sector=17#

Kmlwx
Just saw they are discontinuing the streamgage near me...seems like a funding issue. Bummed out - https://waterdata.usgs.gov/monitoring-location/01650500/#parameterCode=00065&period=P7D&showMedian=false @Eskimo Joe - Is county funding not something that can help here? Probably a discussion for DM or banter. Seems a few other gauges in the area are "endangered" as well.

Wind seems like it’s howling upstairs Yeah...a bit of rain with "waves" of strong wind. At one point, the rain abruptly stopped, the wind picked up a lot, and the lowest and darkest clouds were streaming directly north over our house. A couple times the very lowest clouds seemed to streaming westward but I don't *think* it was rotation. 4 minutes ago, LP08 said: Spinning again down near Springfield. mappy
Precip expanding east, heavy downpour right now. Should be a fun drive west to Westminster this morning to drop mini-map off at a dance camp.
JenkinsJinkies
Precip bust east of the storm with DC probably being the exception. 95 corridor is a huge dry slot.
