None event here so far. The wind is gusting to 40 here. For everyone concerned. The ladies are fine so far. Big ole cannabis plants whipping around in the tropical winds this morning.
BlizzardNole
Such a huge difference over short distances. I've seen some 4-5 inch amounts just east of me in central/east MoCo and they are under just a pain train of rain. I have 2.5 total which is perfect

It’s a lot patchier east of DC certainly. I think areas north of I70 and west of I83 have done pretty well. The rest of us are more hit and miss. Think I’m in the 2-2.5” range since Wednesday.

George BM
Up to 1.8" since Wednesday night here. (Herndon, VA) Some 20-30mph S/SSE wind gusts this morning. The strongest surface winds (35-40+mph gusts) appear to be mostly along and east of the convective band bisecting the DC beltway.

H2O
For those that remember, people east of I-95 this will be very much like TS Lee. Training bands will drop a lot of water over the same places.

These bands are more progressive though, so heavy rain, but not hours upon hours of it.

JenkinsJinkies
Usually when we get tropical systems like this it’s the only one for that season. Once this is out of here there’s a good chance all the other storms this season either never reach us or we get their remnants in the form of tropical wave fueled thunderstorms long after it dissipated. 1

09-10 analogy
Getting pretty ominous looking in up nw. I'd go out and try to find something, but a rainy rush hour in the midst of a major metro area isn't real condusive to chasing. And I don't want to get drenched going over to Fort Reno Park. Did that for Isaias and was decidedly underwhelmed.

vastateofmind
Just out observing cloud movement on this SECOND tornado warning in about an hour, and this was the first time I've heard, from MY house, Fort Belvoir's "Giant Voice" system blaring its siren and booming "TORNADO WARNING, TAKE COVER NOW!" I do think the worst of that storm is directly over the river, and it is indeed ominous looking just to our east. That storm on radar seems to be taking a direct bead on the District...but haven't seen any additional warnings issued for the city proper in a few minutes. GramaxRefugee
Coastal Flood... South River is encroaching on the travel lanes of MD 450. This is a rare thing since the SHA raised the road at the river crossing. Plenty of wind driven twigs, branches, leaves down. Naval Academy gusted to 46. Had a brief power outage overnight. Less than 0.2" of rain overnight.
