CAPE
0.85" today. Glad to have that much in the bank. That is a win given the track of the remnant low will be pretty far west of here. Another half inch total over the next couple days is probably a realistic outcome for my yard.
clskinsfan
My ground was so hard and dry that the rain is just running off of it like a river. Never seen that before in my life.
wxdude64
Raining here, had a thunderclap or two to go with it, backing in from the ENE.... NWS Blacksburg has already issued river flood warnings for rivers around and southeast of Roanoke for Thursday and Friday from Debby.

dailylurker
Wow! The radar suddenly exploded right over my house. I went upstairs and heard it pouring. I was shocked because their was nothing on radar 5 minutes earlier. This should be good for the DC area. Edit: Heavy, steady, tropical rain. This came out of nowhere. It looks like lake effect snow bands coming off the bay.

mattie g
Monday was interesting and some good fun here in HHI, but the last two days have generally been a bore, to be honest. Hope we get some more interesting weather at home over the next couple days than I’ve seen here since Monday!

StormyClearweather
FWIW, 0Z HRRR looks pretty significantly east than the 18Z, though still plenty west to keep the folks who really need rain in on the game.

Still, brutal cutoff. Verbatim, less than 0.5” at DCA.
midatlanticweather
Lwx needs to expand the flood watch to Loudoun (at least western Loudoun). Some have had 5.5 inches of rain or more in spots according to radar. Lots more activity showing up. I was thinking that they had to be close on a warning earlier with that one downpour in west central Loudoun

The entrance to my neighborhood it was pouring, 500 feet away at my house their wasn't a drop. I'm 5 minutes away from my house right now and it's a different climate. There's standing water everywhere and it's lightly raining. There's winner and there's losers out there this evening. I'm a loser lol You should hang out with @EastCoast NPZ. You would be amazing friends.
dailylurker
I've had a steady, heavy, tropical rain for the past 45 minutes. I'd estimate 0.60.
JenkinsJinkies
Why is it that forecasts of anything above an inch and a half get walked back and it never goes back up?

midatlanticweather
Radar Estimates just topped 6 inches in Purcellville. I am 2 miles away and have 1.5 inches now. I am still surprised there is no warning.
