Approach during the past hour of a line.  10 drops and 33 mph S.W. gusts. .02 rain.

If we don't evolve to a more normal pattern before November, speculation on winter snowfall will be a point specific ludicrous venture.

Winter precip. patterns can always change. We can only Pray.........................

I remember a couple years ago we were having crazy wet summers and winter still sucked then too so I'm banking on the opposition principle for this winter's success.

Yeah didn't figure much of anything fell there again... Radar looked good as usual coming from the SW but as always this year - it fell apart leaving Rockbridge coming into southern Augusta ...

Productive downpour moving through.  Obviously, it won't amount to much since it's quick moving, but might be a 0.25-0.5" type.

Congratulations! We seem to have been between both cells in Buckeystown/Bal Creek so it’s still fried down here. Garden is doing great, broccoli, squash and pumpkins.

Historically, dry summers can produce snowy winters!!!!

86-87 summer was very dry,  yet produced 52 inches of snow the following winter...................

But, the pattern has too change to more qp...............................

Luckin' out so far.  Another round incoming.  Regional-wide rains are kinda uncommon this time of year...we just haven't even had enough hit/miss opps.

Chuck, you're very lucky if your dry streak "came out of nowhere".  I have been very dry since May.

Yeah, I am about to get crushed. This will be the 2nd decent thunderstorm of the year lol

It seems like for the last 20 years NE MD has done much better rain-wise than SW of DC.

We’re lucking out on this second wave. Much needed rain to cool stuff down. AC had been out last few days and we hit 92* inside yesterday. Thankfully it’s slowly coming back
