Man its steamy out right now. Lower humidity can’t come this weekend fast enough

Tomorrow will be better than it has been, but dew points may still be in the mid or upper 60s.    A second front goes through Saturday evening (HRRR blows up a batch of showers), and then the real dry air arrives Saturday night.

The front was originally supposed to blast through yesterday afternoon and plunge the dewpoints into the fifties, wasn't it??

This morning's AFD yanks that away: oops, scratch that, the front is now just a pathetic, wheezy little thing which will barely dry us out until tomorrow. Christ, I'm sick and damn tired of this humidity and of the models raising false hope yet again.

Its notably less humid out there this morning than the past week. The dews will lower as we go through the day, and with HP to our NW much of this week, temps and humidity levels will be in the comfortable range. Forecast here from tomorrow through Thursday has high temps between 81 and 85, and lows 62-66. That is normal to slightly below for mid August.

This is a prime period of weather incoming. A perfect time to get outdoors when you can. Going to do some sunset walks this weekend to partake in the tranquility

Some of the Mesos have been depicting this, esp the HRRR and FV3 Hi Res. There is a bit of an upper level disturbance moving through that is acting as the trigger.

Also, a secondary cold front is passing through - the leading air of the truly drier air mass.   Dew points were still in the upper 60s today.

Looks like it’s about to rip. Just returned home from the outer banks. Did we expect this, tonight?

Yep, steady rain here for past 30 min. Surprising. But also about ready to stop. We'll take it.

We went to the greenbriar lake NW of frederick. We picked a perfect day to go… 70s, cool, no humidity, no mosquitoes, and the water was nice to swim as in not cold because of the June-July wave.

So many people came, they cut off access to the park by 10 am… we got there at 9:55, so lucky
