I can't wait for that first damp, chilly, gloomy October day that always kicks off fall.

July in the UK is like October here. Not that many damp, gloomy days though- plenty of partly Sunny days with temps in 60s to low 70s.

Home stretch of hell season. Gonna be a pumpkin spice volcano in my house when we get that first September cold front

Lately it seems like the first REALLY refreshing air masses don't show up until well into October lol

September 2020 was slightly below normal and we had some cool days. But yeah, most September’s lately have been torches to one degree or another.

Looking since just 1960, only 16 Septembers (out of 63) failed to reach 90f. It's a summer month here.
Byrd stadium is a sort of solar heater, and early season games, (Noon on Saturdays back then), the temp at the game feels like 97/98; BWI hits 90. All plenty hot, even for a youngster. Add in a loss to the WV Mountaineers, and it's miserable.

And it falls apart on entry, and blows up just to the east. WTF, Stephens City. How did you mess this up lol

That second one is severe warned!  Stephens City better not mess this up

93/72 and sunny

I got .20 from those.  The second cell died on my doorstep and moved north.  My office got a good rain out of it.  I watched live on my ring cam from work.  Most of the .20 came in the first cell.  It was something at least. That's the most rain I've received since July 4th.
