73/70 at 11:30pm in a NNE valley bottom location of 750ft.

Tropical evenings continue.  Identical readings at MVL and MPV.  Widespread, thick, humid air rules the low-levels.

Is BOS really 81F closing in on midnight?  HFD at 73/72.

I just came in from a 7 mile walk.  Schvitzing like a muthufukka.

Finally pouring

A quick 0.91” and 8”/hr in there. The run ended up flooding. It’s been so long since it rained like that their drainage culverts were all kicked back in with dirt and wood chips.

No doubt it’s milding down. It had to. But you’ve got some folks here , even a met, this thinking it’s a chilly cool sunny week . Just cooler daytime highs with clouds/ rains

I just installed for the first time since we bought this house 8 years ago.  The times before when we got hot or humid it would break soon enough but my wife has been really uncomfortable for the past couple of days with the heat.  Looking forward to Tuesday's low dews now.

Wut? Eye opener at the Blue? Show me one post where anyone says it's going to be sunny this week.

Actually the dew down and cool down on gfs this week is not accompanied with rain verbatim, we will see how that progresses. We then return to warm and humid again Friday into the weekend before an even stronger push of dry and cooler weather comes in day 9.   Looks like we have stepped down from non stop summer and dews to a 3-4 days of dews and 2-3 days of COC kind of pattern which is typical for Mid-August.

That's pretty much coc territory.

Northern bobwhite? Not up here and very rare in S NH…I think their natural range used to make it into the state, but they’re mostly yore now.

I read an article that their population is down 85% in this area from the mid-60s. Too much reforestation.
