Only the ocean there is anywhere near normal

We're not as far inland as PF, but the western Maine foothills aren't quite on tidewater and we're at +0.9 thru yesterday.  The mild minima this morning will probably push that to +1 or 1.1 but Tues-Thurs look to run 3-5° BN, which will move the average to about +0.3.  We'll likely finish between average to +1.5.  (Note:  Our records begin in May 1998, thus do not include the Pinatubo cooldown that's part of the 1991-2020 norms.  Might make a 0.5° difference.)

+3.1 here.

Man you've been carrying to torch award seemingly every month for the past year.

MHT was 0.3F coming into today. Only reason it's not solidly negative were the 95s on the 1st and 2nd. Going on 9 days in a row at or below normal. Not how I'd like to run a summer month

We are getting destroyed on overnight mins in the radiational spots up here.  Average summer lows of like 52-54F just getting torched.  If dews aren’t in the 50s, we are going to put up big departures.

BTV is +1.6 without radiational cooling baked in.

Doesn't radiate because it's raining all the time.

“Grandpa freak…tell us again about the times it used to radiate in August”

I feel like I relate to you every time you post something about the CON mins back in the day, lol.

Like looking at an AVERAGE min of 53F would make one believe half the nights should be below that.

Yesterday was a great example of how we are torching and getting these departures.

Average is 77/53.  Actual was 70/65.  Most locations graded below normal yesterday.  But we were +3 in the means.  -7 max and +12 min.

Prime example of how our monthly departures are so high, even when it’s “cool” it’s warm.
