Gained back the dew point degrees from yesterday. 91/72/99 made today feel kind of bad outside. Even the mosquitos chased me inside this evening while playing guitar on the front stoop a little bit ago. Just not a nice day to be outside.

We had some great house-shaking thunder this morning. Heavy rain but little wind. The frequent and nearby CG’s really made it a good storm though.

Had the same here. Typical summer thunderstorm but the thunder was impressive. Music to my ears.

Currently 71/48 with steady ne breeze.  Point has 46 for tonight with some 30's in the usual spots.  Not bad at all for the first week of August.

Under the category of you do not see this very often, KIND on the five minute obs, the best they could do was 91/74/101 numerous times. But the official high temp rounded UP to 92.

Someone needs to send a medic to Spartman to see if he is OK.

The 5-minute obs could be rounded up or down depending on the temperature reported. A 5-minute ob of 91 means the rounded Celsius value was 33C, which means the actual value could be between 32.5 and 33.4C. An actual max temperature between 32.5-33C would all result in a rounded high of 91F, while a temperature of 33.1C to 33.4C would result in a high of 92F.

An observation of 90F (i.e. 32C) is the opposite - it can be either 89F or 90F, depending on the exact reading in Celsius.

A calm and cool 43 this morning.  Just northwest of here at the Yellow Dog RAWS it's 34.  Baraga Plains currently 36.  Def a taste of what's just around the corner.

looks as if the co-op site in Champion, the western part of Marquette County fell to 32 last night. That particular site has seen frost every single month this summer.

Prelim data in for July, and we have another avg July in the books. 5 & 10 yr trend charts shown respectively.

New dataset available that goes back to 1845. I have a dataset that goes back a little further, as well. So with 2 sets, can post an avg from 1845-1849. That will be the new start year from now on. Very little difference overall, but thought it would be nice to repost July back to 1845.

0.70" of rain last night. It was a nice steady soaker. Very cool today, and tomorrow with highs hovering around 70, and low 50's in the am before summer returns this weekend with upper 70's-low 80's. Need to squeeze out more summer wx because it will fade fast in a couple weeks around here.

Steamrolling through what has been a pleasant summer. The highs for the next 7 days look extremely pleasant, with windows open kinda nights. Best climo.

Incredibly blessed tbh, after what was probably the most pleasant late winter and spring on record.
