09-10 analogy
I almost forgot what long-duration steady (to now downright heavy) rain was like. I can nearly see the tiny mouths on individual blades of grass opening as wide as they can. Downpour now with a little breeze. Almost like tropical remnants. midatlanticweather
Had a small sprinkle shower earlier. The poor getting poorer today out here in Western Loudoun. I am happy to see some folks getting some good repeating rains. Hopefully the atmosphere can spread the love!

dailylurker
Just had another downpour that brings my yard up to almost an inch for the day. I see a tropical looking sky with some blue showing up to my SE. Hopefully it gets things unstable for later.

vastateofmind
I mean LWX forecast just...doesn't seem to match up with radar, nor with the full sun I'm seeing out my window right now. I also can't see that stuff out to the W/NW surviving the trip over the Apps and making it to the metros. LWX also seems to have pulled back a bit on precip chances for the next couple of days, too. It's just "that" summer.
BlizzardNole
No measurable rain and now the sun is blazing. STRIKE ONE. I'm calling a whiff for the entire week right now ob: SUNNY and 81; dry as a bone, dead grass and dying trees

It used to be great as you could zoom way in and was accurate. For some reason they ruined the zoom in ability. I've also see the 24-hour and 72-hour not match up Anyone know a better one?

Happy to pay (a little) Smarter folks here than I will likely chime in...but serious wx buffs here use Radarscope on their mobile devices. It IS a really good radar app...and the more features you want out of it, you'll have to pay a subscription. It has layers of complexity that (again) lots of folks here use, and know better, than myself. Aside from that, for everyday quick and dirty radar checks on the desktop, I typically use Windy.com. dailylurker
Second round of storms incoming. I'm on a heater today. The sky has been beautiful for the past couple of hours. It reminds me of tropical remnants. I hope the front stays where it is. Sorry western fokes. I've watched you get snow for years while I get 33 degree rain.
