I looks like it's getting stronger and creeping towards Fort Washington. I can see the storm to my SW. It has beautiful structure.

aldie 22
I could see today ending up with less than .10 in my area..these medium lead decent rain events that dry up as it gets closer are way more frustrating than the dry itself in my opinion

Just looked at the radar for last few hours. It’s like there is a wall south of Fredericksburg, the rain shield hit it and just dissipated. It stinks……

That is quite a difference in a not so far distance. I picked up 0.38" in a thundershower that started around 2 am here. Around 1.1-1.2" for the past week. wxdude64
POURING here right now. Been a light rain since about 8 am, 0.05", last 10 minutes about 0.40"! Starting to let up. Wouldn't want to under something like that for an hour or two. Sheesh, feast or famine.

Admittedly, the drought isn’t nearly as bad here as other areas, but I’m under an inch for July so I’d be happy with a deluge. And it looks like the radar is starting to blossom to the south, so I wouldn’t abandon all hope for the afternoon in your area just yet.
