Looks like it could just not overcome the dry area. Also it looks like the precipitation field did not push as far northwest as they thought

The watershed at its headwaters is completely dry. Non of the creeks are running. I've never seen that before. I've lived in the area my entire 46 years of life. I'd say it's a drought. Even native plants are dying. 1
Jrlg1181
0.01 today - Wow will actually get 2 full months since "May 18th " of one of the hottest summers in the last few decades with 1.26 total. Actually amazing and concerning - especially since this area also suffered severe drought for a large portion of last year... I know alot of the conversation on here revolves around the continuation of the big city snow drought along I95, but this prolonged precip drought in the agriculture region of the Valley is more concerning...

They just fizzle out. Happened the past couple nights.

Weather Will
Canadian and GFS did better than the EURO. Really a quandary when even inside 48 hours the models struggle but the lesson learned is if there is a sharp cutoff and you are near it, don't count on anything. I’ve been preferring the GFS for precip for awhile now, at least since I started practicing forecasting. I really dislike when they all depict different solutions, I just don’t know how to handle that yet outside of a few hours.
