87storms
Pretty wimpy rainfall so far in Columbia. This is the type of precip you get when there's a drought...usually because the flow upstairs just ain't cuttin' it.

Yeah old Hogback and Furnace Mts really dried things up in Frederick Wednesday. Today is just one of those days where the rain says, “yeah I’m not going north, I’m tired.”

I know it's less common in the summer, but we need a storm coming straight from the GOM. Those things have been lacking for a couple years now. Heck, we've hardly had any tropical remnants either. dailylurker
Seems like it's turning out to be another hot sunny day. Bone dry with full sun just west of Annopoils. I'm out hiking. I thought it was going to be a nice rainy hike. It's dusty and nasty lol

osfan24
Well, it's raining. I guess that's something. But radar is really uninspiring at the moment. Not sure this is going to help the drought at all unless the radar starts blowing up. Looks to be actually drying up to me at the moment. Congrats Richmond and east.

Weather Will
The ground is a little wet. If this were winter there would be wailing and gnashing of teeth. In fairness, the western suburbs were always on the edge of the precipitation. I was hoping for a .25. Don't think it is going to happen.... I'm hoping for a weak but wet tropical system to come into the FL panhandle and take the perfect track to deluge us later this summer. We have a shot with a very active tropical season coming up. frd
Pathetic rains so far, versus forecasts and expectations. But, for SW Delaware and the beaches of Dewey to Rehoboth they are getting slammed. Interesting the Western edge of the rain is drying up on radar. Flood watch until tomorrow Am, so maybe tonight the rain returns.

Flood watch until tomorrow Am, so maybe tonight the rain returns. Probably some subsidence, but the dewpoints have crept up from the Catoctin Mts. east, so it's possible the front may be drifting west. If so, this puts I-95 in the game for at least a few hours of rain overnight.
