97/77, HI of 112.  Went for a 6 mile run a bit ago - not my fastest pace lol.
Anyone seeing this 105F out of RDU?  Is that legit because if so jfc.

Just shot hoops…and I must say, it would be really cool to have the Atlantic Ocean next to me rn.

i miss running along the river in NY.  Generally made even the worst heat somewhat tolerable.

I went and looked -- at the time (2 pm) their HX was 117!  They are down to  "crisp" 95/72 now lol

Right now I'm at 98/73 HX 108

This UHI thing is for real.  Walked to the red hen and even with the sun OTH you could feel the heat radiating off the bricks and cement like a blast furnace.   At least back in the woods.you just have to worry about the air temp and not this radiating thing.  And somehow the mosquitoes are like 10x worse in the city, I didn't think there was any water left in the district at this point so I don't know where they're breeding.

Ok, I had to look....RDU claims 106 max. You're right; it looks suspicious.  Most surrounding stations peaked mid 90s, one hit 99. Plus,  RDU numbers oddly up and down. Says they had a t-storm; maybe that had something to do with it. RDU used to be mostly reliable.

96 high for me today, but DP hit 82. Pluh!
