CoastalWx
2 hours ago, powderfreak said: The global models missed this event. They all had the stripe of heaviest rain well north, into Quebec. The EURO and GFS were so far north with their axis of heavy rain, even on the recent runs. The CAMs (convection allowing models) seemed much more accurate. Yeah I thought it would be further south, but almost a blend of models from yesterday. I generally agree with your slogan. You can’t drive that amount of moisture into the mtns without something bad happening.

moneypitmike
Is there reason to be more than just hopeful that the front may move out a little faster than forecast on Saturday? I'm hoping Pit2 can be good for outdoor activity. Thanks.

The amount of road closures in VT is insane this morning. The 1-year anniversary of the 500-year flood .

I just drove through town. 100 is open but is mud/ debris covered in spots where it overwashed. Streams seem to have receded out of the the fields. A number of main roads are shut.

klw
1 hour ago, CoastalWx said: Hopefully downtown didn’t flood Downtown looked fine. A few spots where the road was topped by stuff coming off the hillside. A house where there was an overwash a couple weeks ago did repairs to the yard last week. There was now a 2 to 3 foot deep channel through the same spot and large piles of stone and mud at the side of the road. Seemed to be the worst of it in town.
