May be the highest DPs among ASOS I ever recall...

KOWD is 90/79 ( for a HI of 106)

KASH is likely a erroneous ... not sure.  81

But KFIT at 77 is extraordinary for that site!

KBDL 77...   KORH 75 is exception for that location.  KBED 87/76

ASH has reported that 81° dewpoint since 11 this morning, but their RH is sometimes squirrelly.  Earlier this week when most other stations had 70+ dews, ASH reported the RH as 32% (obviously bogus), pushing the reported TD down below 60.
That 81 dew reminded me of early football practice in Baltimore.  After one of the 2-a-days we were sweating in the concrete block room where we stayed, and the radio reported a temp of 86 and RH of 85, for that same 81 dew.  Moisture was running down the walls of the place.

The highest dew point ever recorded, 95°F (35°C), was recorded at Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, on July 8, 2003. With an air temperature of 108°F (42°C), the heat index was 178°F (81°C).

Gack!  I've noted TDs near 90 in the Persian Gulf.  Occasionally those dews were accompanied by 25+ winds and a condition described as "sand".  :o

There’s been a wedge on the ground for an hour up there . Poor Wizzy

So far one confirmed/reported tornado which was

1) well southwest of where the greatest risk area was outlined

2) also much closer to the better forcing from the approaching shortwave.

We'll see what happens with the line of supercells between Rochester and just west of ELM but the stuff in central New York has struggled mostly thus far. And stuff along the warm front may be transitioning to torrential rain with embedded tornado potential.

The only thing spinning around here, are Stein's arms in his daisy garden.

He worked his magic again here this afternoon. I just have Dido’s White Flag on repeat at this point.

0.01" MTD here. barely enough to wet the ground.

Today's event reminds me of the Dallas Cowboys offense. Looks good on paper and looks good during the game, however, failing to produce touchdowns.

Interesting turn of phrase since we’re looking for touchdowns here too!
