Heat index hit 99 at DAW.

Last 4 days heat index:

99

96

102

99

It’s not all dews either. Each day air temp was at or above 90.

Average high is 80.

And tomorrow, heat index will exceed 100 and air temp >90.

Good thing we had that comfortable break today like WTNH mentioned. Max heat index only 101 today felt great <_<

It seems like even in micro formats people are always behind the 8 ball playing catch up with this thing.

Nammy delivering 78° dews up here. That’ll be 81° on the Davis tyvm.

Look at that wave of moist air.

But no biggie… They took a core sample of a very first snowmobile ever made along the Quebec and Maine border and found the engine rings indicated these dews and temps were quite common back in the early 1900s.

For those interested. Very very solid storm. Had to hold a window in my room up during the first half of the eyewall after it blew in. Would’ve lost it had I not been at the window documenting the eyewall.

was it worth going? Im hoping there's something good to chase this year..

Absolutely. Once I saw the guidance start to tick north when it was forecasted to hit Mexico, it was wheels up to Houston.

Almost certainly will not be the last chase opportunity this season. This was my 14th tropical chase. You have to be willing to hang back post storm though. Currently a heat index of 96° with no power.
