After a 1/2 hour or so of steady rain the radar looks rather lame and spotty...

Latest HRRR has us pretty dry overnight, FWIW.

Meanwhile, I'm loving this forecast starting Saturday - lots of open window and kettle fire potential. September weather!

Ended up with a high of only 72 today but it was so muggy that I needed to put the AC on anyway.

I got a not-too-shabby round 3 of rain that pushed up from the SE that added 0.75" onto my 0.31" to give me 1.06" so far for today (3-day total of 2.88" and monthly total of 4.83").  Currently in a rain pause with temp of 72 and dp 72.

Unbelievable- canceling Kutztown festival today over drizzle. These people must be out of their mind. You think it was 33 degrees and a cold ass rain with sleet outside. Its 75 degrees. The fair sponsors wonder why attendance will be down. Cry wolf and this is what yoou get. Music fest is just as bad. But get this, if the event was the garlic fest or baconfest, they would go on even if a hurricane was hitting them directly

I was up there about 10 years ago on a muggy overcast and threatening day and i can see why they might cancel given how much of it is "outside", although they do have much of it normally under tents.  Could be they were concerned about some cell that might pop up and upend stuff.

In my experience they either have a pool or a boat. Or both possibly.

I dig a boat for fishing/crabbing here and there occasionally w/the heat ...same goes w/a pool for a afternoon or two. But hell NO for 3-4 months of pure heat/evil...screw that!

My best camping experiences have been in the Fall. Personal tent, hiking, camp fire, fishing and not being around annoying (wxtrix) people...

And we got Iggles tonight!! Yeah sure, it'll be a bunch of 4th stringers who aren't even good enough for the CFL with endless false starts, illegal motion & formation penalties, clock management issues, etc. But football season is here!!

This is my place on the Elk River where it goes out to the Bay.  Getting pretty close to the cottages, however it should go under if it gets that far.  Nice neighbor down there today sent these and moved a bunch of stuff for us.  For reference I took the storm cloud pic last Saturday

Fall’s my favorite season. I know I root for snow but there are so many things I like about fall: cooler weather, football, the holidays coming, etc.

Yes, there's still a tornado watch until 2pm. But until that line to our west clears the area, I imagine there's still a risk. Curious to see if the watch is extended a few hours based on the timing of the line.
