Some spots touched the 50's this morning across the County. Beautiful weather with low humidity continues through at least Monday before our next chance of showers.
Chester County records for today: High 100 degrees at Phoenixville (1930) / Low 42 degrees at Morgantown/Elverson (1976) / Rain 3.28" at Spring City (2023)

Great mid summer weekend underway... some valley locales in Chesco again hit the 50's for low temps this morning. Sunny weather through Monday before increasing chances of some showers by Tuesday which last through the rest of the week. While there will be rain chances certainly no wash outs and some sun each day.

Some 50's for lows again in the lower spots of the County this AM. Another sunny day today with some increasing humidity. Shower chances start to increase on Tuesday. Thursday looks like the warmest day of the week with most spots except for the higher locales could reach 90 degrees.
Chester County records for today: High 101 degrees at Coatesville (1941) / Low 47 degrees at Phoenixville (1977) / Rain 4.19" at Devault (1969)

All guidance on board for a reasonable soaking next week

Mowed the dusty grass here.  I have not seen this type of dryness here since August and early September of 1999 or July of 1988 take your pick very dry.

Also, anyone noticing the smoke today in the sky pretty evident.   I think Sosa lost the ball in the white skies today at second base.

The last 4 days have featured slightly below normal temps that should change as we head through the week. A bit unsettled weather wise this week but most days should see at least some sun. The best chances of rain look to be later tomorrow and Tuesday night...however we could see some showers at almost anytime between today and Wednesday. High temps not too far from normal to start the week - but some 90's possible by Thursday and Friday especially for lower spots in the county.
Chester County records for today: High 101 degrees at Coatesville (1901) / Low 47 degrees also at Coatesville (1956) / Rain 3.97" at West Chester (1969)

Rain chances should ramp up later today especially to the west and southwest of Chester County. Tonight looks to have the best chance of some heavy rain in spots. Sun returns to end out the week before the next chance of showers Friday into Sunday.
Chester County Records for today: High 99 degrees at Kennett Square (1917) / Low 48 degrees at Phoenixville (1956) / Rain 4.06" at Phoenixville (1971)

Decent stuff to the W but will probably fizzle somewhat as it approaches...

Just got a ground wetter from these guys. They're growing slightly so you might be in luck (headed NNE).

Never in all my years seen so many rain chances deliver zilch like this week/last week

Down to tomorrow or Saturday or bust

just unbeliveable- these t storms  tonight hit the blue mountains and go directly north.  60-80% chance of rain went straight to hell this week. The lawn looks like a crabgrass factory with these hot overnight lows. Today it hit 92 in Macungie- five degrees higher than they thought.  Tomorrow will be in the mid to upper 90's for sure.  Where is the heat advisories?

We have lost tomorrows wet on guidance it's over. Pond almost dry poor fishies.

Hate to think what it would be like without that freak 7" earlier in July when I hit on chances like them Yankees

well, here it is again. At 3 am in the morning- 77 degrees with cloudy skies. No chance in hell of  reaching the dewpoint  again as the clouds heat up the ground.  For the upteenth time this summer, debris clouds from dying dinural t- storms in central and western PA that never reaches us by sunset  lie directly over east cental pa essentially baking us at night. Far worse than during the day thats for sure. No condensation relief from not reaching the depoints means the ground is baking and the plants start wilting and any dust and pollen on the cars turns to cement.

When the debris clouds finally clear out by noon the next day, the oven door is opened up again, exceeding the forecasted highs.  Rinse and repeat. This pattern really sucks and worst of all the accuracy for precip chances forecasting is even worse.

Of course, my daughter picks 8.2.24 to get married and it will be hot and humid.  Ceremony is outdoors, but dinner and reception will be inside.

They are still cleaning up around here from the storm 2 weeks ago.  I must have passed 4 of these crews on my errand journey this morning.   It's 83 w/dew of 73 so feels like 90.  Happy for the cloud cover.
