Most of the County has picked up some beneficial rain overnight. Ranging from as low as 0.49" at the Coatesville Airport to as much as 1.88" down in West Grove. Southern spots were for the most part near or over 1 inch while folks in the north were closer to the 0.50" to 0.70" of rain. We start the day muggy but a sharp cold front will cross the area between the 3pm to 5pm hour with another round of possible heavy storms and t-storms. Some spots could pick up another 0.5" to 1.00" of rain. Much cooler tonight with lows into the 50's and pleasantly cool to start July tomorrow with highs struggling to escape the mid 70's in the higher spots of the County.
Chester County records for today: High 103 degrees at Phoenixville (1934) / Low 46 at Devault (1988) / Rain 2.95" at Glenmoore (1973)

The heaviest rain seemed to miss me to the north and south and I ended up with 0.07" before midnight and 0.28" after through post time so far (0.35" 2-day total).  Bottomed out at 74 this morning and it's currently overcast and 78 with dp 77.

My PWS says it's 95 out, and I was all, "that can't be right, can it?" Well here's the local weather station:

We went outside to put some bird netting over our berry bushes and were pretty much instantly drenched. SO GLAD I moved all of that mulch yesterday!!!

Textbook Allentown split going on right now. Nice looking storms to the north and south and the best we can hope for is a dying convective shower. Really would have been nice to get some more rain.

Next 10 days looks wet the mini drought looks to fade already

Just as I say that some new stuff pops up to the west. Lots of rolling thunder. Probably won’t turn severe in time but at least we’ll get more rain.

Getting lots of convection and some thunder and am under a heavier blob with >1.5"/hr rates.

Currently have a total of 0.55" in the bucket at post time (which is 0.27" on top of the 2nd round, with 0.62 over the past 2 days).

Temp made it to 88 for a high before the rains came in.  Currently heavy rain and 76 with dp 73.

Gonna watch this Philly storm roll by to my north.  Need the storm near Lancaster to keep moving!  87F with a 79F dew.  102F index

It's sagging south, just getting into it here, pretty vigorous! Severe warned also.

Flooding rains booming thunder winds gusting to 40 mph with some pea size hail.  Well over an inch of rain for sure totals coming after the storm passes 70f dewpoint 69f down from 86f dewpoint 78f feeling like 103f

Just ended here, about 0.95" in 20 minutes. Maybe a rainbow in a bit?
