Closing in on one tenth and almost done lol

Ended with .20" for the ticks

1.50" June

What a terrible severe season a zero on the 1-10. One storm like six weeks ago that looked to be great but dudded out.

67f here with brilliant blue skies north and west with a solid deck of white cirrus overhead and all point south and east.

Picked up 0.09" 11:45 pm to 1:00 am last night early this morning.... Awful.

Rain prospects look terrible going forward too.

Now we go lower to middle 80's a 90 degree day sandwiched in as well with lower dewpoints and humidity levels in the 20-30% range.

A nice couple of days to close out the work week with near normal temps in the low 80's with lows tonight in the comfortable 50's for most spots. Rain chances increase Saturday night into Sunday and then after a cool start to next week a slow moderating trend.
Chester County Records for today: High 100 degrees in Phoenixville (1943) / Low 46 also at Phoenixville (1965) / Rain 4.54" at West Chester (1938)image.png.09050ed85a4d2c65054ff16c3b9e102f.png

What is the annual mean temperature to date looking like on all of your devices? You should add a year-to-date temperature summary.

Saturday is looking like a dry day despite the soggy sounding current forecast everything is trending north and Saturday night appears to be a repeat of last night.

Dry after that until July 5-6th :yikes:

Time to roll out the old it's going to take a tropical systems moisture to break the drought routine

I know, it seems to either rain too much or not enough. Need a middle ground for a change.

Just like winter...not this storm but the storm after the next storm will be our storm. Patience!

Most spots dropped well down into the 50's last night with the chilliest temp the 50.9 degree low at Warwick Township. A great day on the way with low humidity as highs possibly not escaping the 70's in the higher spots in Chester County. Rain chances ramp up by tomorrow night and into Sunday before sunny and cooler again to start the new work week on Monday.
Chester County records for today: High 101 degrees at West Chester (1963) / Low 47 degrees at Morgantown/Elverson (1970) / Rain 3.33" Glenmoore COOP (2006)

This morning, we wake up to more dry weather complete with very low humidity and low dew points.

The new normal around here over the past 20-30 years has been to take a period of abnormally dry and very very quickly replace it with very very wet.

Today's 6z GFS hints at this possibility as we head into the first 10 days of July.

It is fitting around Southeastern Pennsylvania to end a dry drought like with flooding rains.  I am going to put this possibility out there on today, Friday, June 28th.

July 7th:

GFS Model – MSLP & Precip (Rain/Frozen) for CONUS | Tropical Tidbits

July 10th:

GFS Model – MSLP & Precip (Rain/Frozen) for CONUS | Tropical Tidbits

I think someone said yesterday, next we look for the drought busting tropical system it may not be far off base actually with a stalled boundary.

We shall see!

Clouds on the increase today and a good bit warmer than yesterday with temps reaching the low to mid 80's. Rain chances increase late tonight through tomorrow. Best chances for heavier rain would be tomorrow night with a cold frontal passage. Much cooler again for Monday with temps slowly warming as we head toward July 4th.
Chester County records for today: High 103 degrees at Phoenixville (1934) / Low 45 degrees at Coatesville (1988) / Rain 3.88" at West Chester (1973)
