Going to go on a limb and say CTP today will set a record for most TOR warnings they've ever issued in one day.

Have to think that in my lifetime (1965 onward) that the record had to be set on 5/30/1985. I've found a lot of information but not the number of warnings that came from our local office. Many of the warnings that day were issued by Pittsburgh and Cleveland as well.

I will never forget that event.

75.6 for the warm AM low in East Nantmeal. After today we should get a brief break from 90 degree temps till the weekend. Rain chances start to ramp up this afternoon and especially tonight. We are all hoping for some beneficial rains. By early next week the heat returns....it sounds like July!! Stay cool!
Chester County records for today: High 111 degrees at Phoenixville but 105 degrees at West Chester (1936) / Low 42 degrees at Devault (1954) / Rain 4.35" at West Chester (1931)

I know there’s an ongoing severe outbreak going on in central PA so I hesitate to ask, but just out of curiosity, why on every single day with a chance of 90s does your wx station’s temperature consistently stall or drop a degree or two between noon and 1pm?

Looks like that urban heat island effect is creeping into East Nantmeal Township with the low temperature readings being significantly elevated in comparison to the high temperatures - which is especially surprising given the lack of precipitation [which would ordinarily lead to heightened diurnal ranges]. Have they been converting a lot of nearby woods and farmland to subdivisions? Maybe you need to add a UHI correction to your analysis.

For those of us down south - radar is kind of meh so far. The cells down in MD/VA/WV are weakening as the entire area moves east. Not a lot showing up that would be targeting our area.

Still time for change.

We may be stuck between a N and S line.

It is not good at all.
Over the last 5 years I've been amazed at all the different ways we have been able to fail at having interesting weather. On a side note I'm also amazed at how we can have such a humid air mass day in and day out yet it produces no rain. It doesn't make sense
