5/1 - 7/7: 4.31"

I'm at a slightly better 5.61" for this time period.  Still a robust 24.55" YTD but that's not doing anything for the top layer.  We'll see what becomes of these Beryl remnants.

Low of 68 here.  A big number posted by Death Valley with a high of 129.  Peter Sinks brings up the low end at 28, for a national diurnal range of 101.

Not sure we'll see anything but cumulus clouds from Beryl.

Although the center is going North of us on latest runs, most progs are either forming a new low in the aftermath or still through moisture laden air with lots of convection over us as Beryl goes by.  Let's hope.

A few spots picked up some showers last evening including 0.14" at Chester Springs...most folks however saw little or no rain. Most spots except the higher locations like Atglen, West Grove and East Nantmeal exceeded 90 degrees. More 90's and high humidity likely through Wednesday....before shower chances increase with the impact of the remnants of Beryl by late week.
Chester County records for today: High 101 degrees at Phoenixville (1936) / Low 49 degrees at Coatesville (1954) / Rain 3.44" at Phoenixville (1964)

Fam is taking on the chin. Fence gone, trees down around their land, lost power sometime between 2-3 am local time. Haven't heard from them since a 6:40 am text.

So sorry to hear this. Hope all is well with them otherwise and that you hear from them soon.

I cursed myself with my avatar - how the mighty have fallen. The self-proclaimed king of mowing has mowed 2 times in the past 6 weeks.

Lots of damage reports will come out of Houston. It's the worst case track for them, but thankfully only a cat 1. If it were worse ... we'd have a major, major catastrophe on our hands I think.

So Houston no die, but maybe spends week on ICU.

MDT has a decent shot at breaking a few highest minimum temps this week.

Per CTP, here are the records and each day is in danger of being broken.

                 HARRISBURG
DATE HIGHEST MIN T YEAR
July 9 76 1994
July 10 77 1993
July 11 76 1989
July 12 75 1911, 2011

The duration of warm is also approaching records for MTD. It hasn't dropped below 70 since July 3, and won't until maybe at best late this week.  Here are the longest stretches with temperatures at or above 70 on record at Harrisburg.

# OF DAYS DATES YEAR
