Rainfall total between 2 rounds of storms yesterday was 1.07” here in Lebanon.  Badly needed.  Still close to an inch below normal for the month of June.  See if we can pick up more rain today to end the month

Threat of storms (verified) forced the last full day of camping to be postponed. I drove through a beast of a storm in Bald Eagle yesterday on my way home and then encountered a ten minute downpour in State College while at Walmart. Not sure the accumulation of rain, but beneficial nonetheless.

Came home to a lawn that is in need of mowing. That'll be tomorrow as we are likely headed back to the campsite (we tore down yesterday) to enjoy the lake one last time, weather depending.

Looks awfully black outside currently so that may just be a dream. Back to work tomorrow. Back to posting tomorrow.

Most of the County has picked up some beneficial rain overnight. Ranging from as low as 0.49" at the Coatesville Airport to as much as 1.88" down in West Grove. Southern spots were for the most part near or over 1 inch while folks in the north were closer to the 0.50" to 0.70" of rain. We start the day muggy but a sharp cold front will cross the area between the 3pm to 5pm hour with another round of possible heavy storms and t-storms. Some spots could pick up another 0.5" to 1.00" of rain. Much cooler tonight with lows into the 50's and pleasantly cool to start July tomorrow with highs struggling to escape the mid 70's in the higher spots of the County.
Chester County records for today: High 103 degrees at Phoenixville (1934) / Low 46 at Devault (1988) / Rain 2.95" at Glenmoore (1973)

Up to 4.84" up here in Clarks Green for the month.

In Ocean City NJ at our beach place and sitting at 4.97" since midnight! Crazy thunderstorms and a deluge all night. Looks to be from Atlantic City south and that's it. Much needed down here as it was brown everywhere.

33 minutes ago, Mount Joy Snowman said:

Low of 73 with .37” of rain here. It’s thick out. Anxiously awaiting the cold front to sweep through, hopefully with some storms attached.

Given where the front sits combined with the current conditions...today might end up being a bigger severe threat for us than yesterday.
