Bingo. The impacts from Lee were enhanced by heavy rains that fell prior to Lee's arrival.

Here's a full radar loop of the entire evolution of the frontal boundary and then Lee's arrival afterwards. That firehose that set up from VA up through the LSV and north...never saw anything like it. It just kept training. This is easily one of the most fascinating radar loops I've seen.

That was really incredible. We were on the eastern fringe and still got 5" out of it, but what happened west of here was something to see. I really thought that band would move east, but it never really did, and the end result was just epic, from a weather geek standpoint. I'm sure those severely impacted didn't think so.

I'm starting to get mini-Lee vibes with this.  Obviously not nearly as bad because, well, that was just such an anomalous event but also because it should be through here fairly quickly.  But man, things could get interesting around here come Friday through Friday night, especially if some of those N-S bands end up orientated over the same locations.  Time to make sure all those gutters are flowing smoothly boys!

Also, and most importantly, national high of 123 at Death Valley and Tecopa, CA and low of 34 at Isabella, MN.  Carry on.

Ah yes, the Bradford and East Nantmeal townships of Collyfornia and Minnesota, respectively.

Took about 20 seconds until I realized you did not say Mini-Me.

I was directly under it to the tune of 15.11" for the event. It rained as hard as it can possibly rain and did so for hours. I started to wonder if and when it actually would stop. Fortunately for me, I had no water issues in my home. For that I was very grateful.

Just snagged a 90 degree reading at 11:10am. 7th day in a row, and the 32nd day this year with at least a 90 degree reading. Not going to see another one for the foreseeable future.
Last year's final total was 25 days.

MU did have its fourth heat wave (7/31 to 8/3) but failed to reach 90F on Sunday.

They are up to 28 90F plus days.

But do they send out such graphic alerts like Debby is nailing the whole Southeast?  She must have tired of living in Dallas.
Every hurricane should have its own 70's style porn associated with it

MU Weather Center

1/2 Rain from #TropicalStormDebby will impact northern MD, southeastern PA and the Lower Susquehanna Valley late this week. There is still uncertainty surrounding its track and the timing of heaviest rainfall, but the trend has been faster and farther west since yesterday.

2/2 Most models now show the highest rainfall amounts across the Appalachians in areas north/west of I-78/81. I still expect an additional 1-2" of rain across the region from Thursday night through Friday night, but 2-5" amounts *MAY* remain farther north/west..

Mid-Nooners: Partly cloudy and 81. I need more sun to dry out my kid's car seat as he blew chunks all over it last night at Delgrosso's.

Rain has brought my yard all the way back. With all the predicted storms and rain coming, it may be a high mow the next time I mount the ol steed.

If trends hold, today's event may be the "big show" compared to the remnants of Debbie - 2-5" of rain later today/tonight followed by 1-2" on Friday.

Don't think I want to be part of the big show. Good luck to all those north of me.
