87storms Posted June 12 Share Posted June 12 Step on someone's foot? That sucks. Stopped playing before Covid, mostly because the school gyms closed. Now I just play indoor soccer and Referee hoops up your way. Exactly what happened lol. Was wearing bball shoes, too, though I could use an upgrade. I typically just play outdoors to avoid the indoor gyms/injuries and other bs. My yard was ground zero for them last year and they did a real number on my little birch tree. Guess we'll find out soon if the grub control I spread in the yard was able to make an impact on the larvae and grubs. Only use the trap/bag things if you've got a spot way far off from any plants you wanna keep alive. They work great to attract the beetles, but ultimately they work so well that you end up attracting beetles from the entire neighborhood into your yard. Just under a half inch since May 18th down here in my backyard in northern edge of Waynesboro, with no legit rain in the near future... We were teetering on the edge of a cliff most of the spring - think we just fell off... I work in Charlottesville, normally it's like a rainforest here compared to my yard 30 miles to the west - but not right now, very very dry here too...
