NortheastPAWx
SREFs are out and are as bullish as ever....at 30 hours the mean has a 980 low well inside the benchmark, perhaps uncomfortably too inside for some... The 18z RGEM was most likely an off run...I'm throwing it out That hr30/21z SREF is a low a good 4mb deeper and slightly further west than hr36/15z. tornadojay
It does look east.. Right over the benchmark but looks to hook back in well to give decent qpf
LVblizzard
Lol it's like 10 miles east, the over reactions are hystericall For the mid-atlantic it's worse, however things seem to be close to set in stone for areas north of Philly.

gkrangers
Lol it's like 10 miles east, the over reactions are hystericall Yeah, the whole setup is shifted slightly east. These shifts, even though small, will make the difference for those on the outer fringes. Anyone in the coastal sections, it's just noise... Anyone in the coastal sections, it's just noise... Yeah, inland areas, these shifts are ever so important. Coastals are difficult for inland areas, but the NAM seems to be much more East than other guidance.
Thunder Road
Hey haven't been following up today really - is the NAM the only model having this thing going further east? It moved in west at 18z and gave everyone from Philly N&E over 1.50" QPF the 0z is maybe 25 miles east but most areas still get a decent hit

It's different for me though. It's really a difference between 8 and 3 .. but it's the far eastern solution. The SREF and others are still a good hit. Parsley
It's like Snowgoose said, that the 18z NAM would probably show a QPF bomb then shift back to reality a bit. lol Yup. People should be comparing 12z to 0z to get a true comparison. And things are snowier at 0z than they were at 12z. All areas from DCA northeastward into BOS are getting their snow.
