SACRUS
76 / 65 partly sunny clouds nearby with showers and storm by the afternoon. Upper 80s to stray 90 if enough sun. Clears out and the weekend looks fine with no rain and low 80s as trough moves through. Mon begins the warm up near 90 and start of a heatwave in the warmer spits. Hot Tue into next weekend with peak heat in our area by Thu. NNE wind components under a 600DM ridge tue - wed gives way to a more NW flow and >20C 850MB heat as ridge pushed down south a bit. Looking overall warm to hot beyond to close the month. as ridge rebuids. Gulf tropical activity cold increase.

Euripides
Sometimes it is the days that are not impressive per models that we over perform on Thunderstorm activity. Just have to wait and see if this is one of those days. Morning junk as BxEngine mentioned is not helping......sigh Just want the area to get a good soaking for trees and lawns. Looks like a nice batch of storms will move in from the west. Unfortunately they look to die out and then refire for eastern areas but we'll see. The hrrr can be wrong

I’ll believe any storms refiring for east of the city in June when I see it.

bluewave
5 hours ago, jm1220 said: Yep, with that we’d probably reach low 90s IMBY but the south shore would be mid 80s. Of course this makes the humidity worse and will drive the SSTs up faster. Even if it’s a few degrees cooler near the coast doesn’t make it feel any better. Yeah, this could be one of the strongest June heatwaves on record for areas to our north away from the onshore flow near the coast.

Had a quick shower around 9 am, still a heavy cloud deck up this way currently.

Really need this one.
