For something so hyped up, fail. For LI at least

These enhanced risk days are almost always when there's a strong S flow which is terrible for any severe on LI. We want a westerly flow to counter the marine influence or occasionally a seabreeze boundary pushing into the westerly flow to cause convection. Would've liked more than maybe 10 drops though, would've been nice.

About the same for me over in Somerset. My Davis shows a maximum rain rate of 13.40"/hr, which may be the highest I've ever seen! Obviously, that magnitude doesn't last very long, but impressive nonetheless.

These were some of the highest dew points there I can remember this early in the season.

I don't have a rain gauge but that was some of the heaviest rainfall rates in a while. The retention basin behind our home became about 40% full in short order. All drained off now. I am at the northernmost point of Hillsborough.

1.82” appears to be the 2nd heaviest June hourly rainfall at SMQ since the records began in 1999 and 4th overall.
