They may never do it at the current location. 1911 may have been close with 104° at BOS and 102° at the lower elevation. But in 2011 BOS hit 103° and ORH only 96°.

All 3 NNE states set their all-time hottest day in that July, reaching 105-106.  Minima in most places on those days suggest modest dews, however.

Yeah everyone is very excited and even mayve a bit anxious for the heat arrival. Too bad winterwolf checked out, I bet he's even angrier than usual yelling at complete strangers for no real reason.

Everyone as in 5 people

I don't get the allure of extreme heat.  I mean what can you do in 100 degree weather?  look outside at it from within a temperature controlled environment?  To each his own though, if that's your thing then get after it this week.

Unless they're at the pool or beach it's a dead zone outside at those temperatures.

Hell people don't even go to the beach when it's that hot because the sun bakes them.

Not to mention the ocean water is still cold to my likes. Then again if it is 100, freezing my you know what may be better.

It almost never happens.   Like it has only happened once I think.

I was just going to say...if ORH ever hit 100 at their current location then we are having some record smashing heat with many stations probably breaking their all-time max records.
