Even the NAM has dews in the low-mid 50s for most. Long term does look soupy though can’t deny that.

Our recent experience the past few years (or decade) makes those type of departures seem mundane. Summer departures have historically been significantly lower in variance than winter departures, though. We seem to rattle off +4 to +8 departures in the cold season like it’s no biggie. In the warm season those departures are all-time records. I remember when +2 in July was a hot month. Now it’s a baseline. Our first week of July at MVL is +4.7. Not New England, but Central Park's 25 Januarys 2000-on have recorded at least one day of 15+ or greater in 17, or 68%. I doubt that 15+ departures in July haven't happened a dozen times in 154 years. Their hottest daily mean was July 22, 2011 with 104/84, and that was +16.1, just over that threshold. Plus 10 in January is meh; in July it's blazing.
dendrite
ISP and BDR have shorter periods of record and lower std devs because of their ocean influence…so not too surprising.
