I don't care for high-end heat personally. Similar to frigid cold, equally as bad. Morning/evening are terrific but from my experience (outside NE), the 100/70 etc. 12-3pm is rough.  Prefer 90/70

Still mostly 18-20C 850s up here which translate to mid to upper 90s. The mid level flow is fairly weak as well. I still think we’ll pool some dews more than models think.

If we could rip 20kt out of the WNW maybe we push 100° with 20-21C 850s.

From GYX morning AFD:

Monday - Surface warm front pushes through the area as Mid-Atlantic
heat doom amplifies northward. A few showers are possible along the
warm front along with increased cloud cover and the beginning upward
trend in humidity but overall seasonable weather is expected.

Tuesday - Quick ramp up in temperatures and humidity as 500mb
heights increase to 596 dam along with 850 temps of 26C. This will
allow for heat index values to surge into the 90s and the first day
that heat headlines might be needed.

Wednesday - Thursday things get worse with some impressive 500mb
height anomalies over us as the heat dome becomes centered across
the NE CONUS. Reforecast Ensemble Means are near record values in
all ensemble camps, thus record highs or near record highs have high
confidence at Day 6 forecast time frame. In addition the heat will
be building with low temps remaining in the 70s, causing
unconditioned buildings to have issues. Looks like if excessive heat
warnings are needed it will be in this time-frame.

"heat doom"?
Forecast for Wed-Thurs has New Sharon at 97 both days.  Highest we've had since May 1998 here in the woods is 93.  Maybe we tie it but 97 is a bridge too far.

Great weekend weather for sure.

For tonight into tomorrow, strong radiational cooling will drive
temperatures into the 40s. Parts of the Northeast Kingdom and
Adirondacks are likely to fall down into the 30s. Saranac Lake is
forecast to reach 33 at present, coming close to a daily record of
32 early Sunday morning. Some patchy frost has been applied, mostly
in the northern Adirondacks. Sunday should be very pleasant with dry
weather and light winds. High temperatures will generally be in the
70s.

tough month for them .. already +4 MTD at ORH with the torch yet to come.

Decent chance this goes down as the warmest June ever there

We do +5 to +9 months like it’s nothing at this point.  Summer used to be the time when it was harder to do the big departures over +2 or +3.  Not anymore lol.

Seriously COC day  68/45 few Cu.  I was watching the MWN webcam.   35F  Wind 40 gusting to 52.  So many tourists up there and they all look freezing to death.

Missed the rain yesterday.  Just .04"ish  our lawn still looks good but that is about to change with all the dryness.

Just in time for the heatwave, we got our new solar system online yesterday.  Now we can run all 3 AC units and I can charge my Mustang Mache all  from solar.  We could have put the array on our south roof exposure, but it would have looked like crap. For this 229-year-old house it is all about aesthetics.  Next week a "skirt" will go around the panels so it should look even better.  I think it blends in nicely.
