To avoid wildfire smoke, we need the southerly flow to win out. No omega or Rex blocks, please. Hopefully, we can get a Bermuda High to establish itself. Been a while since we had a good ol’ fashioned, swampy summer.

Looks like another wet period coming up:

EDIT: Also looking at the temp anomalies, the next three weekends are all way BN.

I’m running a school event that has been planned for a year. It can be mostly indoors but that will really cramp fundraising. We have 4 food trucks…

I am so ready for sunny 63 degrees 33 dewpoints and a nice 23 mph northerly wind component. I am already so sick of summer. And I want shade, cool sweet shade! And a billion huge coca cola slurpees! We have already had a couple days with 79 degree dewpoints.

Yay. The same weather we've had since November lol. I'm ready for scorched earth, death ray heat. Anything but 50 and cloudy. I'm so over it.

Why don't you take a little road trip to Texas! We got your death ray summer. It's 90 right now! You could help me clear brush!

This disco epitomizes the November thru May dreary period we are still in.  Soon we'll finally get to our scorching summer which we should try to savor as November and the 7 dreary months will be here before we know it

Slow moving low pressure will gradually push across the Mid-Atlantic
region today through Wednesday, bringing increased chances for
showers and isolated thunderstorms as well as below normal
temperatures. Drier conditions return briefly Thursday before
another storm system brings the threat for showers and storms Friday
into the weekend. Weak high pressure tries to build back over the
area Monday with additional shower and thunderstorm chances heading
into the middle of next week.

Some sort of gravity wave moved north over DC recently and enhanced precip

Yes and we were under it  in Kemp Mill. Sky odd as it moved through with 40 mph gusts and very heavy rain. Very dark and not a green tint but almost yellowish . Ended  in just a bit over 5 minutes

Nope! Euro I guess has light rain? Gfs and GGEM are a washout.
