Nice Canadian airmass for the cooler weather fans by this time next week. So we still haven’t reached the point of extended heat yet. It’s been a challenge with all the onshore flow and clouds along with the rain.

Tree branches and wires are down in the area of Lafayette, before you get to Route 206 over towards Newton.  Seems to be confined to that one small area.  Mini tornado?  Radar looked juicy.  I drive that way every morning but thankfully missed the height of it.

And we still manage to be above normal with 90 temps.

So you can imagine how warm we'll be once the onshore pattern breaks down.

Probably won't happen until 2nd half of June

Looks like storms/rain will split N and S of the city/LI.

I'm keeping an eye on that storm west of Allentown. Headed in our general direction, and looks interesting. Instability should be increasing our ahead of it if we can keep these pop ups north and south of us.

Wouldn't expect much severe on long island but NYC west definitely has a shot

My brother just got blasted by that storm.  He said strong winds, torrential rain and lots of lightning and thunder.  Just sent an update that some massive trees are down too.

While we are averaging above normal, the high end temps here this spring have been muted. Places like Newark will finish spring near the low end of the 90° day count. Plenty of rainfall and convection like this morning along with enhanced onshore flow.

Storm just blew through here.  Nice wind producer and there will undoubtedly be tree damage relating to downbursts in my area.

missed it just to my northeast. had sprinkles from that cell coming home from work:(

Same at my house in Bardonia. Someone called into WFAN and reported golf ball sized hail in Croton from that cell. Also a tornado, but it probably wasn't an actual tornado.

Cloudy and storms rolling through 72 and a bit humid 65 DT.  We'll see how much clearing we have after lunch and try to push to streak to 3 straight 80+days for much of the area, otherwise steady in the 70s.    Breaks into W- PA now.  Warmer tomorrow , next outside chance of  90 or 2 reading in the warmer spots.  The weekend looks best Fri/Sat and rain/storm chances Sunday and Memorial day.  Trough swings through and we wend the month near / cooler than normal 5/27- 5/3.  Heights rise to open next month 6/1 - 6/4 with a brief warmup but tendency for ridge out west with troughinng into the NE early persistenton guidance.

Thundering here in somerset but doesn't look like anything severe approaching. It seems to be splitting this area

Northern half of the Somerset Co looks like it will get a nice little line.  Missing me by about 5 miles.
