Chinook
Have I ever seen 109 in Montana? I don't know. I know I've seen 105+ in South Dakota
mayjawintastawm
Just perusing observations... Buckley AFB (near me) currently has a 93 degree T/Td spread (95/2), with a RH of 3%. Wow. I don't think I've ever experienced that big a difference.

Colorado has measured visibility vales of 10 miles, but it might be some decent forest fire smoke anyway.
ValpoVike
I am currently in evacuation on the Alexander fire, marking the second time in four years. Come on Monsoon…
ValpoVike
We picked up .6” of rain today here on the western edge of the Alexander fire. It was a steady and gentle soaking too.
smokeybandit
That was a rare soaker rain. Which I appreciated not just because of the drought but because I've got no downspouts on the house due to some home renovations.
Chinook
This is pretty cool. By the way, 5-day forecasts have a fairly good amount of precipitation for Colorado

Chinook
It's rainy! This is the first time I've seen a person in a poncho on the RMNP webcam. I have deleted the image of the car for privacy reasons. I assume we can say the person is pretty anonymous with the poncho over the face

smokeybandit
For all this moisture, not exactly a lot of it coming as rain.

Chinook
Sometimes, the CAMs are almost exactly right for storms near the KS/CO border. I don't know how it works out that way. I say that because they can be kind of wrong about all sorts of situations.

Chinook
It was a record of 98, because the monsoon is nothing but sun and 90's. Maybe a couple of areas got clouds today, but, hey high 98, low 67.
Roger Smith
Strong winds all over southern BC and sw Alberta on Friday late afternoon as frontal boundary generated storms. Cool air over PNW (55-60 F) clashed with warmer air n of front (85 F); low developed and tracked into Alberta overnight, now into the cool air here with a steady rain. Gusts estimated 60 mph for around half an hour, lucky not to lose trees or power locally, other locations not as fortunate.

ValpoVike
It appears that I will land at 2.97" for August. For my location, it was a productive and nearly perfect monsoon with almost daily rains coming in roughly .1" increments with a couple of of .5" days. More broadly, it did seem to be a mixed bag for August with KDEN logging just under an inch for the month.

But it was 50.7 F this morning, the lowest since early June.

Chinook
This happened today, with the Los Angeles area getting low 80's to 118 near Palm Springs. I would imagine that a few million people got high temperatures of 100 that weren't normally expecting it.

Chinook
Here is a unusual late-season chance for severe storms in Colorado. There should be some weakly organized storms with strong winds.
