A favorite type of afternoon , this heavy drizzle fine tropical type of rain that radar dosent see as well is putting down some much needed rain..2/3  inch... With luck may get a 1 inch event for the first time since the last big January event...

Convection along the southeast coast is robbing lift potential over Virginia.

Robust dynamics to our west may be able to overcome.

90/100 severe events underperform here. This looks like one of the 90.

I was just in my greenhouse checking on my tomato, pepper, and cannabis plants. I was surprised at how strong the wind is ripping. It must be the new leaves on the trees because it sounds almost sketchy windy.

Where’s the 0.5-1.5” of rain I was promised? Not even 0.1”… I’ll refrain from bumping the drought thread FOR NOW.

You might get it in 15 minutes with this line rolling through now....

But yeah, the models really backed off leading up to the event.

Yeah tacked on a bit. Puddles achieved. Still a lot less than advertised even 24-36 hours ago.

Ended up with 1.07" for the event.  .41 yesterday and .66" overnight.

Dare I say this is the rare event where west of the BR wins?

Yeah this one was a real nice event for the I81 Valley area..... Finished with 1.40 , almost double any event since January... Actually up to 2.10 for the month now... First 2 inch month since yep January...!

Woke up s couple times to gusty torrents last night. Frederick has been doing pretty well since last summer’s rain shadow fiasco.
