Tuesday could feel like an early summer day ahead of the cold front with dews perhaps into the lower 60's

Some of the other guidance have been on and off with a pretty significant BD early Monday so...   just be leery, tis the time of year -

The flow over eastern Canada/Maritime isn't ideal for heat here - as is modeled...   It's tending to curved field orientation.  We want that zonal or we risk the NE fisting

Certainly a concern.

I've been debating whether it is the warm front getting hung up, warm front washing out and transitioning to a BDCF, or just a BDCF which dominates WF progression.

The
chance for a backdoor front to spoil things is looking less likely,
though a seabreeze will likely keep those along the coast in the
60s. Meanwhile, the CT Valley may see temperature approaching 80F!

"Less likely" isn't an entirely responsible statement for our climatology in late April, when then also considering it against the actual modeled tapestry for that period of time - not sure you are fully aware of either of these two facets.

lol

j/k but we've seen BDs materialize out of less leading indicators a thousand times.   Wiz' is right - there's already something in that look that is hard to pin point what's going with that.  Here's the Euro's 12z ...  not willing to bet against a BD with that giant polar high up there like that.

It may work out.  hope it does... just saying, "be leery".

You knew he was coming. He’s been wet too long. They redid half my lawn and will need daily water maintenance now. Thanks a lot Stein

all that stuff you do around your yard, and now you don't do all the stuff? :oldman:

Jealous.  This is miserable.  Like 30+ degrees colder than yesterday afternoon.

Windows and doors open yesterday, wet snow falling outside today.

very, very, very, very glad we don't live there

Cold moving south.

We are going to be at freezing in a hurry.  Walked the dog with hat and gloves, with flurries blowing by sideways, after doing it in shorts and a T-shirt yesterday.

Gotta love the 30+ degree temp changes in New England.

Hunker down and take precautions. It’s coming:

...FREEZE WARNING IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM EDT THURSDAY...

* WHAT...Sub-freezing temperatures as low as 29 expected.

* WHERE...In Connecticut, Northern Fairfield, Northern Middlesex,
Northern New Haven, and Northern New London Counties. In New
Jersey, Western Bergen and Western Passaic Counties. In New York,
Northern Westchester, Orange, Putnam, and Rockland Counties.

* WHEN...From 3 AM to 9 AM EDT Thursday.

* IMPACTS...Frost and freeze conditions could kill crops, other
sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor
  plumbing.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold.

To prevent freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes
they should be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those
that have in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover
above-ground pipes to protect them from freezing.

So much for '80s all week. Oh well...

"

Given the uncertainty and run to run inconsistency, blended warmer NBM guidance withcooler CONSALL
guidance. High temps will be warmer Monday regardless, but latest guidance has also trended temperatures back from the upper 70s to
low 80s, down to the low to mid 70s due to the back door cold front."
