Need attic insultation...Spray foam the bottom of the room or blow in?

I went blown in. Foam does burn and there are some who claim problems with off-gasing, but you'd want to do some research on that. Also, future wiring changes are challenging with foam.

P.s. i did have them foam seal openings, cracks, light fixtures to stop air leakage before the blown in insultation.

Thanks, yes I would have the stuff between attic and ceiling sealed first.   What I am worried with blown in is the mess AND I will need a new AC unit (blower in attic) eventually so that mess would get in the way.  But the sealing worries such as off gassing or not giving the shingles enough air to breath is what has me worried.   I wish I could just do batts but apparently that is not good enough.  Did you do cellulose or fiberglass blow in?

Fiberglass.  R48

I needed new vent fan ducts, so I  had those taken care of so the fibergless remained undisturbed.  If you don't have that in the works in the foreseeable future, have them put batts over the area that would get disturbed by the new AC blower. That way they can be pulled if before and during work then replaced. Just a thought.

The O’s were swept today, their first time being swept since May 2022. That’s an insane stat.

Was just coming here to post that - this is probably the best thing that could have happened at this point. I think it was becoming a distraction, especially when they would lose the first game of a series.

No show. Sun is shining again. Just that Big BOOM, a bit of regular thunder and heavy rain. The amount of rain predicted on Memorial Day increased to over 1.25." We will have another chance on Saturday or Monday but I am not going to actually wish for show to ruin everyone's long weekend.

5:53a: The good people of Williamsport will be up soon I think. Rumblings of thunder and blobs of all colors including purple on their way. In this sideways T-bone formation we and the bottom part of NE PA are getting ours first but many of you will get something prett strong later unless it breaks up first.

6:40a: Just like yesterday, rain and some thunder but no show. At this point pretty quiet. I am going to wrap things up. Things are not moving quickly over to Southeast PA.

The thunder from this storm was impressive.

Almost totally shut out on the rain. After that great May start I can't believe I'm going to have to depend on rain over memorial day weekend to not finish below average for the month.
