50 for the low this AM.  Hoping everyone gets rain today as it is dry for a bit afterwards if the models are right.

I for one dont need rain for a week. I  need dry weather for awhile, so I can get in part of my garden with the tractor and push dirt around. Since the creek flooded the garden twice over the winter it seemed to wash a channel in there. Now when it rains there are a few areas where the water gathers and lays for a few days and doesn't drain. So I got to get the tractor with the scoop in to level and slope it better. Then I can finish planting the rest of the garden.

I have nothing to brag about that can top that!

We were out and about yesterday afternoon and drove through a couple of heavier showers. I was hoping to get home and find maybe .1" or so had fallen but no such luck. Really hoping we get something later today, as has been mentioned already...looks like a lot of dry weather on tap.

Temperatures this morning across Chester County were as low as 50 degrees at Warwick Township. We should see sun this AM with clouds increasing and some showers and thunderstorms arriving from the southwest around the 5pm hour or so from west to east. After the showers tonight we have a great stretch of weather right through the upcoming weekend. Temps start below normal and end up near to above normal by early next week.
Chester County wide records for today: High 95 degrees at Phoenixville (1941) / Low 32 degrees (this is the latest freezing observation on record in Chester County) at Phoenixville (1936) / Rain 3.25" also at Phoenixville (1990)

Speaking of lack of rain, Mexico City will run out of water June 26 due to drought unless they get extensive rain (and it looks extremely unlikely it happens)

It’s the most populated city on this continent.

No one even responded to this?  This is an insane story and would have global effects.

We really do live in our own worlds.  As Mark Knopfler (Dire Straits) said in Brothers in Arms, "we have just one world.....but we live in different ones."  Wish everyone agreed.

Agreed. It is one of the biggest disasters the world faces.

Just seeing this now - I'll admit, this caught me by surprise. I had no idea that something of this magnitude was happening so close to home. Shame on me for having my head stuck somewhere it shouldn't have been.

It happened to Cape Town a few years ago but with mitigation efforts and a few heavy rain events they reversed the issue.

Mexico City might get rain next week, hope it’s a full eeek soaking event. It’s a great city.

We’ll see this more and more imo. Las Vegas, Phoenix, LA, Austin will have issues sooner than later I think.
