1.17" in 17 days will not cut it this summer.

I feel bad because northern areas are drowning but it seems unless pillow gets 6"-8" a month the rest of the LSV has no shot at normal rains

...A STRONG THUNDERSTORM WILL IMPACT CENTRAL CLEARFIELD AND WESTERN CENTRE COUNTIES THROUGH 845 PM EDT...

At 748 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm just east of Punxsutawney, moving east at 35 mph.

HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 50 mph and pea size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is possible.

Locations impacted include...
Clearfield, Philipsburg, Woodland, Curwensville, Hyde, Plymptonville, Chester Hill, North Philipsburg, South Philipsburg, Jeffries, Lecontes Mills, Morrisdale, West Decatur, Mahaffey, Grampian, Kylertown, Wallaceton, Troutville, Lumber City, and Clearfield-Lawrence Airport.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a building.

This storm may intensify, so be certain to monitor local radio stations and available television stations for additional information and possible warnings from the National Weather Service.

To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service office in State College PA.

  HAZARD...Damaging tornado.

  SOURCE...Emergency management confirmed tornado.

  IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
           shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
           Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur.  Tree
           damage is likely.

  Tamaqua, Coaldale, and Hometown around 800 PM EDT.

Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include
Trenton and Mary-D.

This includes Interstate 81 from mile markers 132 to 138.

To repeat, a tornado is on the ground. TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a
basement or an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy

 Just AS long as you didn't bring back std's with you. Hopefully you brought warmer weather back with you, without rain making an appearance every other day.

the area Near Mahanoy City in Schuylkill County County PA...

The National Weather Service office in State College PA will
conduct a storm survey around 11 AM May 28 2024 for the area near
Mahanoy City in Schuylkill County County PA. The survey is in
relation to the severe thunderstorms that moved through the area
on May 27 2024.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement by around 4 PM May 28 2024.

Low of 64 and just .03” for the entire weekend.
Don't, worry, in late June when your grass is all brown you will get a 3 hour deluge of 8" and officially have a "wet" summer

Nice weather day today with lower humidity and sun. Shower chances return by tomorrow PM. Sunny and dry from Thursday through the weekend. We start with temps near to below normal on Wednesday but gradually warm to above normal by next Sunday.
Chester County Records for today: High 94 degrees at Coatesville and Phoenixville (1941) / Low 32 degrees at Coatesville (1927) / Rain 2.94" also at Coatesville (1968)
