Finally emptied the rain gage for the week. Ended up with 2.88. 44 this morning and warned up to 70 this afternoon. Nice day to clean up all the branches that fell, particularly with the cold front passage. Winds yesterday afternoon gusted to 60 MPH. Tomorrow should be another spectacular day in the Smokies!

There were a lot of forecasts about it being a hot and very dry summer. It's only May but we have had over 6 inches of rain the past 2 weeks and the next 10 days looks like more of the same.

That is crazy.  That storm just trained over the area.

We had pea sized hail and 40-45 mph winds too.  It just kept redeveloping right over top of us.. and of course we are getting another moderate shower now to add to the daily total

Models completely missing these storms coming across the border. Even the 0z HRRR doesn't have them which is impressively bad initialization.

Looks loud for the next bit if they don't fall apart.

Yeah just a day ago rain wasn't supposed to come in until Friday evening now it's tonight and tomorrow.  Some crazy short swings.
